One Month???? (Ish)

Image
Hey all!! Have I really been out here for almost a month already????? It feels like I got here yesterday!! But it also feels like I've been here for 15 years??? SOS. Haha Jk missions are THE BEST Anyway so this week was pretty chill I think. We had exchanges on Tuesday and Wednesday and it was so fun!!! Its like a super uplifting, spiritual sleep over!! But I really needed it because ever since I came on my mission I've had all these confidence issues surface and it's super great, love that for myself. But anyway exchanges were great and were a much-needed confidence boost because miracles happen on exchanges!! And it just gave me a lot of perspective because I've had such tunnel vision focusing on everything I'm doing wrong and the exchange helped me focus more on what I'm doing right. God is so good.  Going along with that, one night this week I was definitely NOT crying, and my comp shared Alma 8:31 with me- which is where Alma and Amulek (dream team) were ca...

Small Town Vibes

Image
Okay so we are actually in Willamina, and we live in this cute little town called Sheridan and it literally only has 1 stop light, it's the best. Also the closest Walmart is 30 minutes away so.. that's good... everything I imagined Oregon to be, honestly. SUPER green, lots of lumber trucks, haha, and SMALL TOWN VIBES (@stranger things). But yeah it's just the cutest in the whole world. Also moss grows on literally everything, its fantastic. Also there are still stray cats everywhere here so blessings and theres this one black and white one that we see all the time and we named him Martin. Copyright sis Cozzens.  ANYWAY.... haha things have been really slow around here with missionary work, but everyone keeps telling us they're so happy to have sisters because now the work will pick up, lol. Our members are the cutest, the ward consists mostly of old people and they're all so sweet they give you cavities and they're just cinnamon rolls ❤❤❤ and they're so ...

I Love Being A Menace To Society

Hello everyone! Buckle up cuz this week has been crazy.  First of all, I would just like to say that there are stray cats literally everywhere in Salem and it's kind of the best in the whole world.  Also people avoid us like the plague, which is more entertaining than anything really. But people are nice here. Just not interested. As Frodo said, we are "disturbers of the peace". (I'm not a nerd you are) but yeah, hence the subject title.  Also we met a flat-earther!!!!!! His name was Doug and he asked us if we believe the earth is a sphere in our religion and I was just like "yes....?" And he's like "well how do you know?? Cuz the globe on your teachers desk?" And he just went on like this whole spiel about how the moon landing was fake and the moon is actually just a star and the earth is like a big ol' pizza and Antarctica is the crust. It was just the greatest thing. He was really nice and actually ASKED for a book of Mormon. So that was...

Oregon, Baby!!!

Image
Hey y'all!!  So Oregon is literally the best in the whole world and I definitely want to live here FOREVER. Sorry parents.  But anyway I'm right in the actual city of salem sort of. Me and my companion (sis. Cozzens) are over two areas- Turner and Battlecreek in south salem and they're FLOOPING gorgeous!!!!!! Also our wards are the BEST!! The members here are just the sweetest and they take such good care of us. Also they make lots of jams so we have a whole shelf in our fridge dedicated to literally just jams...so that's good. But yeah I love the members ❤❤ Theres this one family- the Johnsons- and they've literally adopted me. Bro Johnson is so funny and they have 8 super cute kids and I just love them. They are also super extra and have a turf football field in their backyard.  Also theres this cute old couple (the Millers) in battlecreek and we went to their house on Friday and talked to them and they're just the cutest in the whole world. We went to their h...

I'm Going To OREGON Tomorrow!!!!!

Image
Yooooooooooooooo I'm going on a mission tomorrowwwwwwww.  At 5:45. AM.  RIP Anyway, I can't believe I've been here for 3 weeks!! Its gone by so fast!!! And I'm officially an "adult now" as of yesterday. Even tho literally everyone else around me acts more mature than me. Oof. but it was cute, my whole district signed a card for me and wrote me little notes and then the sisters decorated my door. I seriously have the best district. But that made it so hard to say goodbye to them!! All of our elders left yesterday morning and this morning. It was really sad. I definitely didn't cry at all......... But I'm glad I got to meet them all. I'm pretty sure we were all buds in the premortal life  But this week has just been basic MTC business. Classes, and teaching people, and DEFINITELY going to bed on time....  We had a devo on Sunday from the lady who wrote Adjusting to Missionary Life'. Bless her. And she's really cool. She talked about having a ...
