I Love Being A Menace To Society

Hello everyone! Buckle up cuz this week has been crazy.

First of all, I would just like to say that there are stray cats literally everywhere in Salem and it's kind of the best in the whole world.

Also people avoid us like the plague, which is more entertaining than anything really. But people are nice here. Just not interested. As Frodo said, we are "disturbers of the peace". (I'm not a nerd you are) but yeah, hence the subject title.

Also we met a flat-earther!!!!!! His name was Doug and he asked us if we believe the earth is a sphere in our religion and I was just like "yes....?" And he's like "well how do you know?? Cuz the globe on your teachers desk?" And he just went on like this whole spiel about how the moon landing was fake and the moon is actually just a star and the earth is like a big ol' pizza and Antarctica is the crust. It was just the greatest thing. He was really nice and actually ASKED for a book of Mormon. So that was cool.

ALSO, me and my comp (sis. Cozzens) got emergency transferred out of our area... so that's good...
But there was just some information that came to light about one of the people we were teaching and it became dangerous for us to stay in Battlecreek. So we had 1 day to pack up all our stuff (after I had finally unpacked all my stuff) then we headed to the mission home. But things hit the fan on friday then we went to the mission home Saturday night and we're leaving today in the afternoon.
But yeah all is well and we are safe!! And president and sister Wilde are just so so sweet and have been so kind and loving with us and it's like living back home with a family again haha. They also have 2 teenagers who we hung out with the whole time so it was really fun. But yeah so my new area is in Monmouth (I think that's how you spell it) and its out in the country in a small town so I'm kinda excited for that. But we also get to pink wash!! Which is where sisters replace the elders in an area. (Elders blue wash). So that'll be interesting. We definitely have our work cut out for us cuz the elders we are trading areas with said they were only teaching 1 person... and in Battlecreek/Turner we had like 11 people we were teaching. So it was hard to leave but I know its all part of God's plan and that we're where we're supposed to be.

Jesus said,

"be not afraid, only believe."

And that's kinda my new motto.

I also got into my first bible bash. We met this guy while we were at the mission home walking around their neighborhood and he was really nice I guess but there was just a lot of tension and you can BET ya gurl was ready to start a FIGHT. I didn't, obviously, and we actually ended on a good note.

Anyway love you all! Talk to you next week
