Oregon, Baby!!!

Hey y'all!! 


So Oregon is literally the best in the whole world and I definitely want to live here FOREVER. Sorry parents. 


But anyway I'm right in the actual city of salem sort of. Me and my companion (sis. Cozzens) are over two areas- Turner and Battlecreek in south salem and they're FLOOPING gorgeous!!!!!! Also our wards are the BEST!! The members here are just the sweetest and they take such good care of us. Also they make lots of jams so we have a whole shelf in our fridge dedicated to literally just jams...so that's good. But yeah I love the members ❤❤ Theres this one family- the Johnsons- and they've literally adopted me. Bro Johnson is so funny and they have 8 super cute kids and I just love them. They are also super extra and have a turf football field in their backyard.  Also theres this cute old couple (the Millers) in battlecreek and we went to their house on Friday and talked to them and they're just the cutest in the whole world. We went to their house and sat and talked to them and they each had a small chihuahua in their hands and it was very funny lol. 


Also both of our areas are just booming with work. I've already taught like 7 lessons and low-key really scary like wow I'm drowning but it's fine........... 
But anyway theres this one lady we're teaching named Jeanette and she's literally my southern black grandma I freaking ADORE her. And she's catholic so she's very vocal about her beliefs and she's always just like "AMEN" and yeah I love her. 


Also it rains a lot here... surprise surprise! But I love it. For now.... 
But everything us just GORGEOUS and green and the TREES. GUYZ. YOU DONT EVEN KNOW. Anyway oregon has stolen my heart completely. 


Also spiritual thought; 
In 1st Nephi 17 the lord asks Neph to build a boat and in verse 51 nephi says 
"And now, if the Lord has such great power, and has wrought so many miracles among the children of men, how is it that he cannot instruct me, that I should build a ship?" WHATTA MAN. Anyway I just love that because you can literally replace "build a ship" with anything else in life that you're struggling with. Like how can the lord not instruct me to get a new job or serve a mission or go to college or just anything. Anyway I just love that. The lord's got us.  
"Know ye not that ye are in the hands of GOD??????"

It's Raining It Pouring My Life Is Boring

Haha yeah I'm getting a little stir-crazy...  And its raining........ Things have been good tho. We started teaching a new lil honey, almost put them on date, and could possibly drop them today, And We have virtual lessons with members every night which cures my depression I love the members here ❤  Not much else has been happening... Ashley is AMAZING and progressing so well!! She just eats up everything we teach her, and is SO excited! I love her, shes also pretty hilarious.  Nothing can stop the work of God!!!  We were supposed to get transfer calls last night.... but that never happened. Idk what's going on... ever, it's fine. I could get yeeted outta B-ville on thursday or I could stay for 2 more months. Or all the missionaries will get sent home. Idk man. We're just all chillin in our apartments doing puzzles 'n stuff.  I have a lot of time to draw tho so that's been nice. ONE YEAR???????

Well, folks, we made it -- ONE YEAR!!! Honestly never thought it would happen, but God is so good, and He loves us too much to let us fail.  The work is going well, we found out one of the less-active members we're working with may not be a member at all! He cant remember if he actually ever was baptized. So that's kinda exciting, in a weird way. Probably not something I should be excited about  Thoughts: I think sending sis Mecham home was a real eye-opener for me, and kind of a reality check. Like missions don't last forever. Going into a church and having everyone instantly love me because of a tag, will eventually end. And even at Walmart we get stopped every time by people who want to talk to us and thank us for our service -- members and non-members! I'm gonna miss that.  Also, training is wack. Ive never been so aware of my weaknesses. also My child is a bit of a rebel, so I think the Lord is giving me a taste of my own medicine! Lol. BUT I FREAKING LOVE HERA. Sh...
