"What Is That?????!" *In Scottish Accent*
Friends!! I am once again out of time
But I'm loving Redmond!! Me and sis H will most likely stay together another transfer so I'm stoked about that
We are still teaching lots of people, but most of them aren't responding, so RIP. And Oregon is going back into lock down for 2 weeks.... starting Wednesday.... so RIP Thanksgiving. I am super grateful to be in a 4 sister apartment, otherwise I would probably lose my mind being stuck inside again. It should be fun.
Also, reason for the subject line, the 4 of us sisters are the only sisters in the zone, and our elders are a little rambunctious hahaha... and they just go around talking in British/Scottish accents, and one of the most popular phrases is "What is that?????" At completely random times. Kinda hilarious. I LOVE our zone. We're so far away from the rest of the mission that we are all really tight. We're all we got, man. I have never laughed more in my life, It is seriously so fun here.
So I have been out for 15 months...
What??????? Didnt see that coming *nervous laughter*
But you know what? I'm loving my mission. And I dont want to leave????? What's that about??? Remember 9 months ago when I had a mental breakdown in front of my whole zone cuz I wanted to go home??? Wow. God is seriously so good. I cannot imagine what my life would be like if I hadn't stayed on my mission. This has been the best experience of (and for) my life. I am overwhelmed by Gods love and mercy and that He kept me out here. It is proof of the enabling power of the Atonement cuz heaven knows I would NOT have been able to stay out on my own. Literally every aspect of my life has gotten better. Even my handwriting?????? God just loooooves to bless us. I've learned that what we gain with God is always more than what we lose.
A Pioneer from the Martin Handcart company once said,
"The price we paid to become acquainted with God was a privilege to pay."
This coming from a person who experienced some of the most gruesome and horrid things a person can experience.
I feel very similar -- not to compare trials. But my mission has been the best experience of my life because it was the worst. Does that make sense?
Anyway, GOD IS GOOD. You already know.
Love you all!!!
