Smith ROCKS
Ahhh! Transfers!!!! So, after 7.5 months of being in the holy land of GALES CREEK, I was banished to the other side of the mountains to an area in Redmond called Smith Rock. It's a lot like Utah -- high desert..... so I hate it. It has been really hard to leave FG, my heart is still there. I cry a lot. Haha. No one told me I'd have to say goodbye to my family twice!!!! But Redmond keeps trying to flirt it up with me. I'm sure I'll grow to love it. I'm already starting to. God has been very tender and gentile with my heart this past week and we've seen miracles!! The area is POPPIN. We're currently teaching 9 ppl and have lots of potentials and less actives (my FAV). So the future's looking good.
I LOVE my companion!! Her name is sis Hebdon and she's in her 2nd transfer of training. Apparently President has a lot of trust in me. Lol. For some reason.......
But she makes me laugh and she sounds like Drew Barrymore. We also live with the Spanish sisters in what the missionaries call "The Redmond Palace". Its not that nice. It just has 2 stories and lots of space. Nevertheless, I AM GRATEFUL. Also, we are the only sisters in the zone.
Halloween was fun!! We spent the night painting cuz we had to be in by 6 ☹ But our ward mission leader brought his fam to our house and did reverse trick or treating -- they gave US candy. It was excellent. And super cute.
Here is a quote from Richard G. Scott that I LOVE.
"But there is absolute assurance that, in the Lord’s time, solutions will come, peace will prevail, and emptiness will be filled."
I love that.
And I love Y'ALLS
Love Syd
