We Saw Big Foot (Cue X-Files Music)
Pretty chill week... literally. Hahaha laugh at my jokes I'm hilarious.
First of all, thank you to all you wonderful diamonds for your emails and love and words of encouragement ❤❤❤❤ I FREAKING LOVE YOU GUYS!!!! (Do you like my dignified missionary language?)
Anyway, highlights from this week:
☆ We did service for a less-active member, and our service with him is always crazy. We cut wood and we welded once and we built a concrete counter top mold, and we glued pennies to the counter top and then moved that 300+ lb counter top. I got elbowed in the face in the process, so that was kinda cool.
☆ We had a lesson with Rob which went really well. Hes making progress! He read a little from the BOM which was literally a miracle. Baby steps.
☆ We had transfers!! Me and sis C are staying!! And sis Orton (my MTC comp) is pink washing WILLAMINA!!! So that's cool ❤ Shout out to ma girl ❤
Anyway, here's a spiritual thought from church!
"Behold all ye that kindle fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks, walk in the light of your fire and in the sparks which ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand—ye shall lie down in sorrow." (2 Ne 7:11)
Someone in Sunday School pointed out that this verse is talking about how people do what they want in life, walking in the light of their own fire. And when they do this, they are doing it alone. They're trying to make it back to God their own way. Not Gods way. I imagined God saying, "Why are you trying to do this by yourself? I've shown you the way, I can help you get there, please just let me."
Aaaaaannnddddd anyone who knows me knows I'm very stubborn, and independent, and do not like being told what to do. soooo this was kinda like an "ah crap" moment for me, lol.
Also, my anxiety has gotten SOOOO much better ❤❤❤ I'm actually starting to like my mission! Which is horrible to say, but I'm not gonna lie! missions are rough. Ever since I yielded my will to God (after much wailing and gnashing of teeth) literally EVERY aspect of my life has gotten better. I'm amazed by Gods mercy and goodness. That even after all my fighting and rebelling, He still blesses me! It's very humbling. And I know that's not unique to me. Heavenly Father loves all His children, and He's always eagerly waiting to pour out blessings upon them.
Anyway, pics!! (Not in order)
